MOTD 01.07.15 feat. Anastasia Beverly Hills Tamanna eyeshadow palette

Last weekend, I bought the super sold out Tamanna eyeshadow palette by Anastasia Beverly Hills at Dillard's. She creates amazing products for eyebrows and I use them every single day. I was super interested in buying some of the eyeshadows because Anastasia has recently created a full line of eyeshadow singles. However, they're $12 a pan and I wanted to try multiple shades at once first to get a feel for the quality. Needless to say, I love them so far, but I was slightly disappointed with the some shades at first to be honest. With the reinforcement of some primer -- I used Urban Decay or Stila -- the pigments were fabulous.

This is the "date night" look I promised on Twitter. I actually did this one on Tuesday night for the Selma movie screening with my boyfriend, but it got way too dark for photos, so I redid it for a "Cawfeetawk" at Abi Ferrin in West Village with the oh-so real, Jamie Primak Sullivan. This is one with a lot more color for those who are feeling bold! The "look" cards helped a little bit but, as far as color placement, I had to figure that on my own based on my eye shape. That is so important! I brought the look together with MAC lipstick in 'Diva'.

Shades used: Fresh (highlight), Sanria (above/outer crease), Gilded (on the lid -- reinforced with Stila Magnificent Metals Comex Copper), Chocolate (blended into inner/outer crease -- don't blend into middle crease), Venezia (inner corner pop), Noir (reinforce lower lash eyeliner and Chocolate at outer crease)

What do you think about this look? Have you used the Tamanna palette?
