Every season, I visit my local Nordstrom's beauty department to join in on all of the Beauty Trend Week festivities. It's become a tradition that I'm even getting my friends and family involved in!
For fall, Nordstrom is highlighting two gorgeous trending looks that you can build with your favorite salesperson. Dark Glamour is your traditional fall look that incorporates deep eyeshadows, shimmers, and vampy lips. Basically, this is the time to get BOLD. Modern Romance is definitely for the girl who is more romantic/feminine and wants a softer look. This look incorporates a neutral eye with plenty of glow around the face and a cinnamon, spicy semi-glossy lip.
Take a peek at how I re-created these looks and the products I'm recommending this season!
Dark Glamour | Bold Color
When I first heard "Dark Glamour", I immediately dreamt up this look. I achieved super matte skin with one and only NARS All-Day Luminous Weightless Foundation and a soft contour with their 'Gienah' Contour Blush. I'm a serious "NARSissist" when it comes to complexion makeup. If you want something very flawless, I highly recommend the brand. If you have oily skin like me, set your foundation with the Bare Minerals Original Mineral Veil.

To create a glamorous smokey eye, I used the Laura Geller Delectables Nude palette for a brown, neutral foundation and applied a MAC Pigment in 'Blue Brown' on the lid wet by mixing with a primer. Although I use super full false eyelashes with all of my looks, I like to blend my lashes with the falsies with the Smashbox Full Exposure mascara.
Lips from deep purples, magentas, or reds are all acceptable! My go-to is MAC Matte Lipstick in 'Sin' (wine red) and it pairs well with the pigment. An alternative is NARS Audacious Lipstick in 'Vera' (magenta).
Modern Romance | Ultra Pretty Neutrals
If you love neutrals and softer colors, the Modern Romance trend is absolutely for you! This looks amazing with the '70s clothing trend that is making it's way back on the scene. I used the same foundation, finishing powder, and brow products, but switched the contoured cheeks with a soft glow by using Bare Minerals Pure Radiance all over the face. See that crazy glow? It will make it seem as though you are glowing naturally from within.

The Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette (no longer available) is an absolute must-have for this trend. Honestly, I don't know of another palette that I would recommend as much as this one. The pigmentation is beautiful and has fantastic payoff. I brightened the look by adding the MAC Pigment in 'Rose' on the inner corner wet by mixing with a primer.
For soft color on the cheeks, I blended one to two strokes of the Charlotte Tilbury Beach Stick in Formentera. On the lips, I wanted a slight wash of color, so I used the MAC PatentPolish Lip Pencil in Sultana which is perfect for deeper skin-tones.
