I'm so happy today because this blog is officially two years old now! I began The Fashion Geek exactly on this day in 2013 after attempting and failing two other blogs. I really wanted to put my digital retailing skills to use, so I opened a small eBay shop to get a little bit of experience -- tied to that shop was my baby blog. While having my own e-commerce store was still a dream, blogging (and school) became a bit more demanding, so I started blogging part-time.
I remember when I first started my blog, I would sit in my old apartment all day long and just write and constantly rearrange and design my site! And I didn't really think it would last this long (again), but I found myself working on it every single day. It was sort of a stress-reliever. Even when I didn't get the support I thought I needed or people thought this was only a hobby, deep down inside I was still determined to make something of it!
At the beginning of 2014, things really changed -- I was able to attend events, host events, network and meet other bloggers, and gain opportunities I never imagined I'd have. By the end of 2014, things we booming! It's a new year and I'm still amazed by the many doors God has opened for me. Last year wasn't easy by any means, but it truly helped me see my potential.
2015 is all about increasing the content quality of The Fashion Geek and being more consistent. I love blogging about the things I love and being able to share my creative side with the world! I want to be able to do more brand partnerships and event hosting this year, of course, but just being able to blog makes me happy. Aside from blogging, I also found my dream job last year and I really couldn't be happier with the way things are going right now!
Thank you to all of the people who have supported me from the beginning and, if you've recently started following my blog, I can't wait to share my third year with you!
