Seche Premier Colour Nail Lacquer | First Impression & Review
During Spring Break in March, I had the opportunity to attend Beautycon and engage with tons of fellow content creators and brands -- it was truly amazing. Some of the brands I'd heard of before, while others were brand new to me. Marrica and I spoke to the ladies representing Seche in the Creators' Lounge and we each walked away with a set of the Premier Colour nail lacquer.
It wasn't until a few weeks ago after Kelley Barnes of The Style Barn was raving over the Seche Vite top coat that I remembered I had the set (we received an insane amount of products that day). I decided to pack a few colors with me during my stay at the Gaylord Texan...and I fell in love. If you're tired of your nails looking like a tractor rolled over them because you thought they were dry, then your search for the perfect polish is over!
How it works
Honestly, I haven't tried a nail polish this simple -- EVER. Seche Premier Colour consists of three steps: base, lacquer, and sealant. The system is designed to fuse with natural light to extend wear, longevity, and strength. The adhesive base creates that perfect foundation prior to applying the lacquer of your choice (1-2 coats), then finish with one coat of sealant. In about 10 minutes (perhaps less), your nails will be completely dry. No fancy UV/LED lights, sprays, or other fast-drying products are necessary. EASY.
I received 10 shades from the line, but there are a total of 24 shades to choose from that complement all skin tones. I didn't swatch all of the polishes, but I am showing the ones I have along with descriptions of each.
- Siren: soft pink
- Subtle: lavender
- Jubilant: crisp baby blue
- Cunning: vibrant coral
- Insightful: fiery red
- Gifted: berry pink
- Vivacious: teal
- Refined: blue red
- Candid: true red with red glitter
- Alter Ego: rich black
First Impression & Thoughts
I was not expecting this product to be so great. Really, I was ready to be disappointed just like all of the other "super" gel-like systems that companies claim to have. It seems as though they all still take forever to completely dry and I always end up smudging my nails. It pisses me off every time!
When I was in our hotel room polishing my nails, I tested one hand just in case it was crap...but I was definitely proven wrong. My first hand dried within minutes and I was ready to move to the next. I can be such a wild sleeper at night, but there were zero smudges in the morning. If I would have used these sooner, I could have avoided so much disappointment by now! *cries inside*
I'm not even sure if there's a point in trying other systems. I would absolutely recommend the Seche Premier Colour system to anyone looking for a fast-drying solution and may be a little short on time. It actually WORKS and my nails are still fresh a little over a week later.
