Fall Into Fitness | 4 Must-Haves For Your Duffle Bag
This post is sponsored by BabbleBoxx.com; however, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
The last couple of months have been extremely active for me! Moving over four years worth of stuff out of my apartment on the third floor has been more of a workout than I ever imagined it would be. I think moving furniture and heavy boxes definitely counts…and I’m nowhere near being finished with the entire transition. Recently, Babbleboxx sent over a box of goodies just in time for my big move and to help me “fall into fitness" this season as I ease into a normal, everyday routine again. Check out these four fitness must-haves for your duffle bag or backpack:
Ease Aches & Pains
One of the main times I experience aches and pains is when I’m setting up for and shooting product photography which usually takes several hours or even a full work day. There’s a lot of moving around involved — bending over, crouching to get the perfect angles, stretching, etc. By the end of the day, I’m usually extremely tired and end up having sore muscles the next day. Lower back, shoulders, calves, arms…you name it!
I have never really liked taking medications for the muscle pain and I stay away from greasy ointments most of the time. Plus, who wants that kind of hassle while out and about? With menthol, camphor and salicylate, I used the Tiger Balm Active Muscle Spray to relieve my lower back pain that comes and goes. One spray and the slight cooling sensation had my achy back relieved in less than 10 minutes. I love that it’s easy to apply, there is no greasiness or off-putting smells — there is a smell from the active ingredients, but it’s not terrible and it eventually goes away. The best part is that the spray comes in a convenient travel size under 3 oz., so perfect for carrying in your duffle or backpack!
You may see me in four-inch heels at an event but during the day, I can guarantee that I’m running around in my trusty Adidas. The older I get, the more I understand the importance of support. When you support yourself physically, you can push forward more effectively mentally. No matter if you’re simply walking around the city, enduring a serious workout or hard at work, your body deserves proper support. And truth is: insoles that come in most shoes do not last forever and should be replaced depending on wear.
GO Comfort insoles are made to last and so easy to trim to fit any casual shoe. There are three options to choose from based on your lifestyle to help relieve lower back, arch and heel pain. Here’s which insoles I would recommend:
All Day Insole — great for those who may be on their feet for long hours and need long-lasting support. This one offers 18+ hours of comfort. These are the ones that best fit my lifestyle especially when I’m running around capturing creative content from dawn to dusk.
Work Insole — helps prevent fatigue for those who may find themselves literally hitting the pavement or other hard surfaces. I wish I had these when I worked in retail!
Athletic Insole —perfect for the super active engaging in high impact activities who need long-lasting support and the benefit of max shock absorption.
While I do love a good sugary, carbonated drink, I’ve been doing my best to do better with my “beauty routine” from within by finding alternatives. Sometimes I want something a little more than water and less sugary than soda or energy drinks, so I’ll grab a lightly carbonated option instead. I’ll drink them on-the-go or with a light lunch during the day.
Sparkling Kiwi Guava from CELSIUS: Your Ultimate Fitness Partner was included in this Babbleboxx, so I was really excited to switch it up! These drinks don’t contain any artificial preservatives or flavors, aspartame (which I try to stay away from) or high fructose corn syrup. Aside from the fact that they provide healthy energy, accelerate metabolism, burn body fat and calories, I especially like that the Originals contain green tea extract and ginger root guarantee seed extract as well as vitamins B and C. I’m all about the natural ingredients and they definitely have beauty benefits!
You honestly can’t even tell you’re drinking a sparkling fitness drink because the CELSIUS flavors are actually delicious. I mainly reach for beauty waters with super light flavor that may contain collagen or protein, so this was very different for me. I would love to try more of the CELSIUS drinks consistently to see how they burn calories and fat over time.
This season is all about opening myself up not only to new physical experiences, but to the world around me. When I’m doing things like walking at a park or taking a solo excursion into the mountains, I love being motivated by my favorite music, but also want to be aware of my surroundings because I: a) still want to enjoy the outdoors and, b) like to make sure I’m being safe every step of the way.
Everything about the AfterShokz Trekz Air headphones have been a plus to my routine. This month, I moved out of my apartment which required several full days of running up and down to/from the third floor with heavy boxes and furniture. I don’t think I would have made it without these babies! Here’s what I loved about them:
They were so comfortable to wear that I would forget I had them on
No earbuds to annoyingly fall out of my ears every time I moved around
The sound was perfect and not at all compromised due to the open-ear design leaving me pumped with energy to push through
Easily chargeable on-the-go via USB cable
Everything around me could be heard while still jamming out
I could continue to work and move around without having to be near my phone
